2070 Chosen Again!
For the second year in a row 2070 (Glenfield) Squadron was chosen to represent the wing in the competition to be the best ATC Squadron in the UK. At the end of April the Regional Commandant, Gp Cpt Ford, came to Glenfield to see how our squadron measured up.
At this stage the squadron was rated amongst the top 36 squadrons in the corps.
During the night, cadets showed off the skills they had been learning by putting on a packed night of activities in preparation for Wing Field Day in June this year. The activities included: A parade and review of the cadets by the Gp Capt, Drill Practice, Air Rifle Shooting & Maintenance, Staff Part 2 Lectures, Aircraft Modelling and the project to build the squadron website and paint the newly designed squadron badge onto the wall.
Before the Gp Capt left, he told the Squadron that they had done extremely well to get as far as they had in the competition and althoug we were unsuccessful we should still be proud to be part of a very good Squadron!
