CWO Brewster attended a Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award presentation by the Duke of Edinburgh himself at St James' Palace.
James attended the presentation along with his mother as his chosen guest. Together with 400 other award recipitents and their guests they travelled to London and listened to a talk by a special guest before meeting the Duke of Edinburgh himself.
The award consists of five different aspects including a skill, service, sport, residential and an expedition. It takes a minimum of 18 months to complete. The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is highly recognised and respected by prospective employers as it is a good indication of commitment and hardwork. The skills gained during a DofE Award are transferrable to everyday life. |
